The host of this website needs help in updating the History and Distinguished Units pages.  If you were deployed with the 24th ID (Mech.) as part of any of the following operations or have knowledge of them please contact the webmaster.   (WEBMASTER)

Operations Information needed:  

Grenada 1983 (Units deployed, deployment dates, mission, awards & decorations)  

Somalia 1993-1994 (Units deployed, awards & decorations)  

Kuwait 1994 (Units deployed, awards & decorations)  

Haiti 1995 (Units deployed, deployment dates, mission, awards & decorations)  

Additional Information needed:  

1.  Under the Integrated Division concept, the 24h ID (Mech.) provided units to Bosnia and Iraq .  We need to know what units were deployed, deployment dates and mission as well as whether these units were attached to active divisions or were stand-alone units.  

2.  During the Gulf War 24th ID (Mech.) units were awarded unit citations.  This citation information was lost in a hard drive crash.  If your unit was awarded a unit citation or you have information regarding these, please contact us.

3.  Pictures are requested from the Division's service in WW II, Korea, Lebanon 58, Germany, El Salvador, Gulf War, Somalia, Kuwait 94, Haiti and Hurricanes Hugo and Andrew.  This site had pictures from Germany and Somalia but were lost in a hard drive crash.  Please send pictures of events, activities and unit group photos only.   (Send electronically to imjinrifle@att.net or Webmaster, 422 Lincoln Avenue, Dunellen, NJ 08812-1127)  Hard copy photos will be scanned and returned.
